Long Awaited Rebuild for Millpool Slipway
LBOA's first major project February/March 2007

The Millpool public slipway prior to renovation work commencing.  The dangerous broken edging and the short reach can be clearly seen.

Millpool Slipway Extension finally achieved

Looe Boat Owners' Association worked for 18 months to get the concrete of the Millpool Slipway in West Looe extended, and at long last it has happened.

The Contractor began work on 15th February 2007 and the works continued until 11th March.  The extension is 7 metres long and gives greatly improved access to the water above half tide.

Major funders of the work have been Awards for All, Viridor Credits (Caradon), Caradon District Council and West Looe Town Trust.

The Boat Owners' Association worked hard holding several fundraising events and individual members also made donations which together totalled £1,450 towards the final cost.

An official opening took place on 12th May 2007.
